TRANSFORMATOR

What is Transformator?

As the name describes, TRANSFORMATOR is a transformation program dedicated to SMEs and NGOs. The program supports organizations in their journey to become more sustainable, whether that means organizational transformation, adjusting their business model or becoming more financially sustainable.

The program is dedicated to organizations that have started their sustainability journey and need support in taking it to the next level and those that would like to adopt more sustainable organizational practices. In 2024, the programs had 2 cohorts/year in Romania, and 1/year in Serbia, Bulgaria, and Croatia. This year, the Program will have its first cohort in Slovenia.

Participants benefit from an intensive 3-month education journey consisting of sustainability-focused sessions, strategic management, foresight, and circular economy alongside experts & mentors. Participant organizations also have the opportunity to make an investment pitch in front of international and CEE impact investment funds, VCs, and corporate ventures.

The 2025 edition takes place this SPRING. Learn more about this year’s edition below!

PAST EDITIONS

Over its first five editions, TRANSFORMATOR has supported 74 businesses and organizations in exploring how to transform their business models into more sustainable and competitive ones.

2024

In 2024, TRANSFORMATOR held two editions: one in spring and one in autumn. The fourth and fifth cohorts brought together a diverse mix of businesses and NGOs, each on a journey to align their operations with financial, environmental, and social goals. With a focus on integrating new practices, mindsets, and products, 36 participants critically examined their business models alongside more than 50 local and international experts. From sustainable communication and OKRs to circular economy and ESG, participants explored how to make their operations more cost-efficient, their products more durable, and their organizational cultures more resilient. The year concluded with a regional event where eight entrepreneurs from Central and Eastern Europe pitched their sustainable business ideas.
