Job Description:

As the Comms Swiss Army Knife for Social Innovation Solutions, you will support our team in various communication, social media management, and program management tasks, playing a crucial role in the success of our initiatives. 

Your responsibilities will include work for selected programs. 

Selected SIS programs:

  • Transformator: An educational program for SMEs and NGOs aiming to transform their business models into sustainable ones through training sessions, workshops, and mentoring.

  • Sustainability Academy:  Sustainability Academy, a cutting-edge 360 solution hub in Romania committed to nurturing micro-enterprises and SMEs towards more sustainable business practices. Through educational modules, interactive webinars, and a thriving community, we help entrepreneurs evolve their business models for increased long-term profitability and social responsibility.

  • Climate Change Summit: is the largest CEE event that addresses one of the most pressing issues of our time - climate change. The summit brings together leaders, innovators, and change-makers from various sectors to discuss strategies, share knowledge, and foster collaborations aimed at creating a sustainable future. The summit includes a series of panels, workshops, and networking opportunities, providing a platform for impactful dialogue and action. Additionally, the Climate Change Summit Awards recognize and celebrate outstanding initiatives and projects that contribute significantly to combating climate change and promoting sustainability.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Management of Communication Resources

  • Develop and manage comprehensive communication plans for selected SIS programs.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms.

  • Track and report on communication project progress, adjusting strategies as needed to meet goals.

  • Oversee the production of communication materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and deadlines.

2. Copywriting

  • Create compelling and engaging content for various channels, including social media, newsletters, blogs, and websites.

  • Tailor messages to different audiences, ensuring clarity and impact.

  • Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of grammar, tone, and style.

  • Collaborate with program teams to develop content that supports program objectives and enhances audience engagement.

3. Social Media Management

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance SIS's online presence and community engagement.

  • Create and curate content for social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter.

  • Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content performance and engagement.

  • Respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive online community.

4. Visual Materials

  • Design basic visual materials using tools like Canva and PowerPoint to support communication efforts.

  • Update and maintain visual assets, ensuring they align with SIS branding guidelines.

  • Collaborate with graphic designers for more complex visual projects as needed.

5. Out-of-the-Box Thinking

  • Generate creative ideas to enhance SIS’s communication strategies and program visibility.

  • Experiment with new communication tactics and platforms to reach and engage target audiences.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in communication and social media.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills in English and Romanian. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

  • Strong interest in sustainability, education, entrepreneurship, or the business environment.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • At least 1 year of work experience in a startup, incubator, or small business environment is preferred.

  • Monitoring and automation skills.

  • Basic graphic design skills.

  • Copywriting skills.

  • Experience with website updates.

  • Social media interest and experience.
