Job Overview:
As a Sustainability Education Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering educational content that demystifies complex sustainability concepts and translates them into actionable insights for entrepreneurs. Your expertise will help bridge the gap between theoretical sustainability principles and practical business applications. Words like double materiality, ESG, CSRD are very familiar to you.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and develop sustainability education programs and materials such as tools, guides, or methodologies for entrepreneurs of SMEs to use in their transition planning.
Advanced Training: Create intensive training programs where entrepreneurs can deepen their knowledge through webinars and study materials including but not limited to carbon footprint calculation, EU legislation compliance and sustainability strategy development.
New Opportunities: Map and pursue avenues of development for the two programs you will be working on and ensure that they continuously deliver the most impactful opportunities that lead the path to SMEs’ sustainable transformation.
Stakeholder Mapping: Identify and create strong partnerships with the people and organisations that contribute to the sustainable ecosystem of Romania and beyond.
Selected programs you will be working on:
Sustainability Academy: a cutting-edge 360 solution hub in Romania committed to nurturing micro-enterprises and SMEs towards more sustainable business practices. Through educational modules, interactive webinars, and a thriving community, we help entrepreneurs evolve their business models for increased long-term profitability and social responsibility.
Sustainability Hub: a digital platform to assist Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in their journey towards sustainability, would be a multifaceted resource tailored to address various aspects of environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
ESG Lab is a modular educational program designed to enhance the sustainability maturity of SMEs and support them in creating actionable transition plans to become greener. The program aims to provide a transformative journey and equip SMEs with the insights and tools needed for sustainable growth in today's ESG-focused world.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, business, finance, economics, or another ESG-related subject.
Passion for sustainability, education, entrepreneurship, and the business environment.
Knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards and regulations. Certifications are a plus.
Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering impactful work under tight deadlines.
Creative writing skills. You can write for a wide array of audiences but, most importantly, for entrepreneurs.
